Slovakian Union of Casting!

The aim of this site is to inform the public about the activities of the union, to provide information about the events and  results, or to highlight the successes of our  national team.

From the name of sport (casting, fishing technique), it is already clear that our domain is the training and refinement of the fishing casts respectively fly fishing techniques using the competition equipment. In the rules of the International Casting Sport Federation (ICSF) is defined 9 competition disciplines, including 4 target and 5 distance events.

Since its inception, our civic association has been providing state representation in casting, preparing and selecting top racers and promising novices for the representation, providing them with indiscriminate technical and methodical assistance, material equipment and participating in top European and world events based on their achievements at the nomination competitions.

During 26-year existence of the Slovak Union of Casting (slovak: SZRT), besides the rich medal balance, many excellent international judges have been established and thanks to the international activities of SZRT in the sport and diplomacy, Slovakia got the right to organize European and world events (ECH, WCH, SaVWCH, WC).

It is also worth mentioning that thanks to the financial grant of the slovakian education sector, the tasks related to the preparation and participation of the state representation at the top events could be successfully accomplished every year.

An important part of the sporting life is the long-standing cooperation with the Slovak Fishing Union, the Žilina Council, where both parties agreed to cooperate in the field of state representation and membership of the ICSF.

A milestone for the further development of casting is the slovakian law on sport no. 440/2015, which determined the factual and timetable of tasks for sports organizations. On the basis of their fulfillment, the Slovak Union of Casting in 2016 obtained the Certificate of Recognition for the National Sports Union and in 2017 the Certificate of Compliance with the Conditions for Granting a Contribution to the Recognized Sports issued by the Section for state Sports and Youth of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
